Making a Drama/Play in a Day: Becky Sage toured a Theatre in Education piece for the company Performance in Education.

The Long Autumn Months: Becky Sage was chosen for the lead role of Rita in the film “The Long Autumn Months”, directed by Michael Dunbar

2013 projects:

THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA-49Puss in Boots: Becky Sage toured the panto for Eva Long Productions which involved playing to audiences young and old and a lot of singing!

House of Bernarda Alba: Becky Sage played Lombarda’s Daughter in the production of The House of Bernarda Alba at the Egg Theatre, Theatre Royal in Bath, directed by the Wonderful Heidi Vaughan.

People of the Past:  was a project close to Becky’s heart as it was born from the memoirs of the grandad of a friend. The week after we had our first meeting about it he passed away, this is an on-going project.

Emily: Becky Sage was playing Emily Dickinson in the feature length film, Emily. This included contemporary dance, poetry and the portray of a complex and intense character.

Real: Becky Sage completed a short called REAL for spoken word poet Janey McLeod, directed by Olu Adeola.

2012 projects:

Graveyard John: A devised piece of theatre in phase 1 of development, to be performed at the Egg theatre, Theatre Royal Bath. I am playing the nameless lover of Graveyard John. This is a beautiful, heart wrenching look into another world, inspired by the works of Tom Wait and Charles Bukowski. It has been a real treat to have become more familiar with their scarily observant work.

Electric Forest: Short film, this is part of a vision by director Olu to examine the Pandora’s box that we have opened with the unceasing development of technology. As a scientist in my past life I find it very interesting to be playing the ruthless scientist Kate. I look forward to posting footage from the film on this site.

Machamlear: Playing Regan in an Eastenders spoof, based on three Shakespeare stories. This piece led to me being compared to Jennifer Saunders in Ab Fab! Apparently, I have strength as a comedic actress. Where appropriate I will tackle a character with a degree of un-subtlety, as in this case. I had fun creating an extremely over the top character.

Venus and Adonis: A Ben Crystal adaptation of the Shakespeare poem performed for the Bath Literature festival and the Theatre Royal Bath’s Shakespeare festival. This was a beautiful piece of ensemble work. 5 actors took the stage and worked together in a variety of different venues.
